24 Karat Pure Gold Treatment
Sunday 10:30 a.m. Room 205-A

Pure gold has been used for centuries as the secret to youthful-looking skin. In ancient times, gold was used to smooth out wrinkles, to cool the skin, and to protect it from inflammation. Historians have proven that Cleopatra slept in a gold mask every

night to maintain precious skin youth. In ancient Rome, gold balms were used for the treatment of a variety of skin problems. Gold was also regarded as the key to youth in ancient Chinese medicine. Gold can easily be massaged into the skin lending the face a glowing and radiating complexion. Gold frees the skin from impurities, and increases the proportion of oxygen in the skin, eliminating tiredness. The treatment rejuvenates the skin, removes wrinkles, banishes blemishes, fades age spots and leaves skin luminous.

Understand the misconception of microblading to avoid several touch-ups. Yes! It can be permanent! Touch-ups every few months scar the skin, frequent procedures result in lack of colour retention. Proper healing prepares skin for future procedures. Ancient history of microblading “soft tap” (hand embroidery) will be revealed, as well as why it should never be used for eyes or lips. Equipment and needle selections differ for precision pigment placement, which soft tap cannot provide. Master all aspects of micropigmentation including SMP scalp. Bed Face… Is It A Thing?
Sunday 3:30 p.m. Room 206-C

As we age our faces can become etched with lines. The location of these lines tell a story about the person wearing them. With the discovery of neuromodulators and their ability to relax muscles, the esthetic industry became fascinated with “expression lines”. Frowning, squinting and brow furrowing all became points of interest. Unfortunately, many lines on our faces are not caused by expression and are not erased by neuromodulators. In fact, they are not easily treated with any modality and, of course, they will return without a change of habit. This lecture will explore the effects of poor sleep and sleeping positions on our skin. We will identify the underlying anatomy that encourages the etched lines and the telltale signs of side and stomach sleeping. Lastly, we will discuss measures that can be taken to avoid these unnecessary facial wrinkles.
